Position Summary: Reporting to the Director of Admissions, the Admissions Recruiter/Counselor is a student-centered professional responsible for driving recruitment and enrollment efforts for MCNY’s undergraduate and graduate programs. The role blends outreach, counseling, and administrative functions to support students from initial inquiry through enrollment. This includes representing the College at community and school events, guiding applicants through admissions and financial aid processes, and ensuring accurate documentation and communication within the CRM and SIS systems. Duties and Responsibilities: Achieve enrollment goals by managing inquiries, applications, and registrations from initial contact through matriculation. Actively recruit prospective students through participation in college fairs, high school visits, community events, organizational visits, and corporate partnerships. Counsel and guide prospective students on admissions requirements, academic programs, transfer credit, financial aid, and scholarship opportunities. Review and render admissions decisions; evaluate college transcripts for transfer credit. Plan and execute on- and off-campus recruitment events, including information sessions, open houses, webinars, and campus tours. Develop and maintain relationships with high schools, community colleges, businesses, civic organizations, and community leaders to expand recruitment pipelines. Serve as liaison for special populations including international students, veterans, and Ability-to-Benefit applicants. Ensure all student documentation is accurately collected, recorded, and reconciled in CRM (Admission Pros) and SIS (PowerCampus). Provide ongoing communication and follow-up with prospective students via phone, email, text, instant messaging, Zoom and in-person interviews. Collaborate with admissions colleagues, financial aid, academic departments, and marketing to align recruitment strategies with institutional goals. Represent MCNY at local and regional recruitment events, requiring occasional evenings and weekends. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred. 1–3 years of experience in college admissions, recruitment, sales, or related field. Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM and SIS systems. Ability to travel between campuses and external sites; willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
