Description San Marcos Academy, a private Christian school located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Upper School Assistant Softball Coach. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment and the capabilities to mentor, disciple, and develop young student-athletes on and off the field. This is a part-time stipend position. Essential Job Functions Receive, evaluate, and process enrollment inquiries Interview and tour prospective families and students Chair committee to accept students Prepare documents for registrations and re-enrollments Speak with and answer questions from prospective parents and students’ campus communication tools Follow up with phone calls and emails to all admissions inquiries Track all inquiries and request completed application documents Nurture the relationship with newly accepted students and parents by communicating by phone and email from the initial inquiry through registration and first day Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to include emails through Blackbaud, website updates, and other campus communication tools Proficiency with Technology in the areas of Microsoft Office or Google Suite. Ability to learn Student Enrollment Management program. Ability to strategize marketing of SMA based on data points. Other assignments as directed Requirements College Degree preferred Knowledge of the admissions process and procedures Understanding of all areas of the Academy from admission, dining hall, resident life, and student activities Understanding of the Student/Parent handbook Performance Standards & Expectations Knowledge of SMA’s mission, vision, and core values Maintain an above average work attendance record Observe professional and ethical behavior standards Represent SMA with appropriate appearance Attend as many SMA activities as possible Exercise sound judgment and independent decision making in performing duties. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings on occasions
