SUMMARY

An Ontario Career College in Scarborough is seeking a professional Admissions & Student Services Advisor to join our team. This full-time role combines admissions advising, student support, financial aid assistance, and exam administration. The ideal candidate will be student-focused, detail-oriented, and motivated to help prospective and current students succeed while maintaining compliance with Ministry and regulatory standards.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required (WES-evaluated if international).
  • Experience in student advising, admissions, or financial aid (OSAP/Better Jobs Ontario) is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with exam proctoring/invigilating or testing services is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Professional, customer-service oriented approach with a genuine interest in student success.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for prospective students: answer inquiries, provide program information, and guide applicants through the admissions process.
  • Conduct admissions interviews and advise students on program selection, funding eligibility, and career pathways.
  • Support students with OSAP, Better Jobs Ontario, and other funding applications, ensuring accurate documentation and timely submission.
  • Provide academic advising, orientation, and ongoing student support throughout the program.
  • Maintain accurate student records, process enrolments, and assist with compliance-related documentation.
  • Oversee and proctor student examinations, ensuring secure, professional, and compliant exam delivery.
  • Take attendance, manage records, and assist with reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Ministry of Colleges and Universities and Career Colleges Ontario policies in admissions, student services, and exam administration.
  • Participate in recruitment and outreach activities, such as information sessions, open houses, and community events.
  • Perform other student services and administrative duties as required.
