KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in leading, organizing, evaluating, and managing nursing and clinical personnel

through sound management practices and delegation.

  • Makes daily resident rounds with the unit manager/supervisor(s) to note resident/patient

conditions and to ensure nursing personnel are performing their work assignments in

accordance with acceptable nursing standards.

  • Ensures compliance with applicable local, state, federal, and other regulatory agencies and

corporate quality assurance standards, certification,s and licensure requirements.

  • Participates in and holds accountable those responsible for staff recruiting, training,

supervision, scheduling, all related personnel issues, and the overall quality in this area.

  • Participates in the Interdisciplinary Plan of Care (“IPOC”) process.
  • Attends weekly meetings (Resident at Risk and other meetings as assigned).
  • Attends daily clinical meeting.
  • Complies with laws and regulations applicable to the position and acts in accordance with the

company’s Corporate Compliance Program.

  • Treats all residents, visitors, and staff with courtesy.
  • Follow facility dress and hygiene policies.
  • Provides administrative call for the entire center with the administrator and other center

management personnel, on a rotating basis, to ensure continuity of services on a 24-hour

basis.

  • Works with regional personnel, through center staff, to analyze and evaluate the provided

services rendered to continuously improve the quality of the residents’ care and

utilization of the staff.

  • Coordinates infection control, continuous quality improvement, and utilization review

functions of the center.

  • Assists the Administrator in the completion of management tasks in order that the

residents receive optimal clinical care, have their psychological needs met, and have the

opportunity to exercise all of their rights as outlined in the Resident’s Bill of Rights. *

  • Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises nursing staff, whether directly or indirectly in accordance with the company
    policies and procedures.
