Universal Metro Asian Services is a Not-For-Profit organization that aims to serve immigrant populations of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, the Middle East, Latin America and Europe. UMAS is a small, family run organization. The perceptive employee would need to have experience with that or have experience wearing multiple hats. In addition, perceptive employee should be able to work autonomously, be a self-starter, and have initiative and lots of follow through. Roles and Responsibilities Oversee daily operations to maintain a safe, supportive, and compliant adult day program. Develop, implement, and evaluate monthly activity schedules that support participants’ physical, social, and cognitive well-being. Conduct participant intakes and assessments, assist with personal care and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on individualized care plans. Monitor participant health and behavior, documenting and reporting any changes or concerns promptly. Maintain accurate records, including attendance, charting, meal counts, and required program documentation; manage and order supplies. Coordinate and support staff and volunteers involved in daily activities. Communicate with families and arrange needed services such as meals and transportation. Participate in staff meetings, training, and community outreach or professional development activities. Perform additional duties as needed to support overall program operations. Requirements Basic Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Bachelor's degree in human services, social work gerontology, activity therapy, recreation, physical therapy, art therapy or related field preferred. Associate degree acceptable. Experience: Pervious experience working with older adults or in an adult day care environment preferred. Physical exam (no more than 6 months prior to employment) CPR/First Aid certification or willing to be become certified Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) Excellent communication skills, including oral, written and presentation Self-motivated, creative, flexible and results driven Ability to be a productive team member/player Additional qualifications include: Being fluent in Hindi/Urdu or Guajarati preferred.
