To deliver high-quality teaching, training, coaching, and assessment for learners on a range of Adult Care programmes, including adult learning and Skills Bootcamps. The postholder will support learners to achieve successful outcomes and progression through tailored, engaging, and compliant learning experiences. This includes responsibility for planning, delivery, assessment, and learner support aligned to sector, funding, and awarding organisation requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIFIC TRAINING
- Level 5 in subject sector specialism (essential)
- Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) or equivalent (essential)
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) or equivalent (essential)
- GCSE grade A*-C (or equivalent) in English and Maths (essential)
- Full, clean driving licence and access to vehicle/business insurance for travel (essential)
- BA in subject sector specialism (desirable)
- Level 4 IQA qualification (desirable)
- Level 5 Certificate in Education and Training (CET) or equivalent (desirable)
- IOSH Health and Safety at Work qualification (desirable)
- First Aid at Work qualification (desirable)
EXPERIENCE
- Extensive hands-on experience and a strong track record in the Health and Social Care sector (essential)
- Experience in face to face delivery (essential)
- Experience of working with adults from diverse backgrounds (essential)
- Previous experience working as a health and social care tutor or in a similar training role (desirable)
- Experience in curriculum development and educational material creation (desirable)
KNOWLEDGE
- Sound knowledge of health and social care practices, sector regulations, and health and safety protocols (essential)
- A strong network within the health and social care sector for potential employer partnerships (essential)
- Familiarity with local employer needs and care sector recruitment practices (desirable)
SKILLS
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and connect with learners (essential)
- Effective organisational skills to plan, prepare, and deliver effective training sessions (essential)
- Patience, adaptability, and the ability to tailor teaching, learning and assessment methods to various learning styles (essential)
- IT literacy for creating and maintaining digital training resources (essential)
- Coaching or mentoring experience (desirable)
