ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
• Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
• MRCPsych or MRCPsych equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
• Section 12(2) approval to work in England and Approved Clinician status.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of 8 years of relevant clinical experience in General Adult Psychiatry.
• Extensive experience in a multidisciplinary team setting.
• Expertise in acute inpatient or community settings, with a strong background in risk assessment and management.
• Demonstrated ability to take full and independent responsibility for patient clinical care.

• Provide expert psychiatric care to adult patients, ensuring the highest level of clinical responsibility.
• Conduct thorough assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patients.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, facilitating treatment and enhancing patient outcomes.
• Supervise junior doctors and other healthcare professionals, promoting professional growth and a supportive work environment.
• Participate in the management of clinical risk and engage in regular risk assessments for patients.
• Maintain full compliance with GMC regulations and uphold the standards set by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Attend and contribute to team meetings and clinical governance activities.
