- £35,000 per annum – Fully Qualified
- £28,000 per annum – Level 5 CYP Qualified (with Training Agreement)
Mileage: £0.45 per mile for all approved travel

About the Role:
Tees-Valley Care Limited, in partnership with The Lingdale Tavern Community Hub, is seeking a motivated, experienced, and engaging Trainer/Teacher/Assessor to deliver high-quality qualifications and community learning. This is a pivotal role, aimed at developing the skills and confidence of both our internal workforce and the wider community.
You will be responsible for delivering accredited qualifications such as Level 3 to Level 5 Children and Young People’s Workforce, Leadership and Management, and a range of vocational and employability short courses such as Customer Service, Safeguarding, Parenting Skills, and more. You will also oversee assessments, ensure internal quality assurance, and support learners through their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and assess accredited training programmes including:
- Level 3 – 5 Children and Young People’s Workforce
- Leadership and Management
- Vocational Qualifications relevant to community and care settings
- Facilitate engaging short courses in:
- Customer Service
- Employability Skills
- Safeguarding & Prevent
- Parenting Skills
- Support learners with individual learning plans, portfolio development, and progress tracking.
- Conduct on-site observations, reviews, and assessments across a variety of locations.
- Participate in standardisation and IQA activities, contributing to quality improvement.
- Design and adapt course content to reflect learner needs, community priorities, and sector standards.
- Maintain accurate learner records and ensure compliance with awarding body requirements.
Person Specification:
Essential (for qualified rate):
- Minimum Level 3 Award in Education & Training (PTLLS) or equivalent (KETTLS/DET).
- Assessor Qualification (TAQA, A1, D32/D33).
- Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualification.
- Minimum Level 5 qualification in Children and Young People’s Workforce.
- Demonstrable experience delivering accredited qualifications.
- Experience supporting adult learners and/or care sector professionals.
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel to placement sites.
For Training Agreement Route (£28,000 starting salary):
- Already hold Level 5 in Children and Young People’s Workforce.
- Willing to complete adult education and assessment qualifications (Education & Training, Assessor, IQA) under a fully funded training and learning agreement.
- Commitment to minimum 3 years’ service post-qualification in return for funded training.
- Passionate about teaching and learning with excellent interpersonal skills.
