POSITION SUMMARY

Transform lives by being responsible for producing inquiries and applications by developing relationships and strengthening recruitment partnerships with adult prospective students, businesses, and service providers across the Mid-State Technical College district and in collaboration with Lakeland University. Support adult learners through personalized outreach, pathway identification, and career navigation assistance. This role includes serving as Lakeland University’s admissions representative for central Wisconsin, helping students transition into four-year degree pathways.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing, Education, or related field required. Combination of education and occupational experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree will be given consideration.
Marketing, recruitment or education experience required.
Knowledge of marketing techniques, student recruitment methodologies, and customer relationship management preferred.
Experience in effective program design, planning, and implementation of a major project or activities targeting prospective students, with an emphasis on first time college students preferred.
Must possess excellent problem resolution, independent judgement, be goal-oriented, organizational, interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.

Must possess ability to:

  • Use effective involvement and persuasion strategies to gain acceptance of ideas and commitment to actions that support specific work outcomes.

Responsibilities

Establish relationships, regularly visit, engage and recruit prospective students in the community, businesses, and transfer students interested in programming at the Stevens Point and Marshfield Campuses.
Conduct extensive outreach to inquiries including phone, email, mail, text correspondence and workshops, tours and presentations to share general college information, explain program offerings, and highlight student resources for Mid-State and Lakeland University.
Lead efforts to help undecided students in choosing a career pathway for Mid-State and Lakeland University.
Serve as Lakeland University’s central Wisconsin admissions representative stationed at Mid-State’s Campuses, recruiting students across degree offerings and managing prospects through the admissions process.
Create, manage, and grow special population programming within assigned region by creating events, tools for pathway identification, and serving students to achieve their goals.
Analyze student progress on academic plans by creating re-engagement campaigns and work with advising team to provide case management.
Other duties as assigned.
