Doctors Direct have an exciting opportunity for a Speciality Doctor to work with us in General Adult Psychiatry, Enfield on an inpatient ward.
Are you an enthusiastic and skilled Speciality Doctor looking for a progressive role at one of London’s newest Mental Health Partnership Trusts?

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments for new admissions, including history-taking, mental state examination, and risk assessments.
• Formulate differential diagnoses and develop individualized treatment plans, in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team (MDT).
• Prescribe and adjust psychotropic medications, ensuring regular review of efficacy and side effects.
• Monitor and manage the physical health of psychiatric patients, working alongside general medical colleagues.
• Address psychiatric emergencies, such as suicidal ideation, self-harm, or acute psychosis, and manage these situations safely.
• Lead or contribute to ward rounds, reviewing patient progress, updating care plans, and facilitating patient discharges.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Speciality: Adult Psychiatry
• Location: Enfield, inpatient unit
• Days per week: 09:00-17:00, Monday-Friday or client will accept someone 4 days per week, on-going
• Rate of pay: Negotiable
• Start date: ASAP – subject to compliance and RTW checks
• Payment method: PAYE we do NOT facilitate payment through LTD/umbrella companies
• We request that the candidate have MRCP and on the Specialist Register.
