We currently have a full-time opportunity available for an Adult Psychologist. Hennepin Healthcare’s system offers a multidisciplinary approach to care (MD, APP, LP, MHP, RN, Social Work), as well as a fast-paced environment with psychologically (and often medically) complex patients. Our dedicated Psychology team is comprised of over 50 Psychologists and Mental Health Professionals with training programs in both disciplines. Psychologists at Hennepin Healthcare have access to regularly scheduled multidisciplinary and therapy-specific consultation meetings, and there are frequent opportunities for informal consultation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Doctoral Degree in Psychology Obtained from an APA or CPA-accredited program
  • Complete at least one full year or the equivalent in part time of internship (2000 hours)
  • One year or the equivalent in part time of supervised post-doctoral experience in a healthcare setting (1800 hours)
  • Training appropriate to the area of specialization
  • If licensed in another jurisdiction, have no unresolved disciplinary action or complaints pending
  • Certified (or eligible for certification) as a Licensed Psychologist in the State of Minnesota

Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial diagnostic assessments
  • Collaborate with the patient (and family as applicable) to develop a treatment plan to address identified goals in psychotherapy
  • Administer, score, and interpret psychological tests, and write comprehensive reports of test results and provide feedback
  • Provide culturally appropriate, empirically based psychological interventions in individual, group, and family modalities for psychological disorders including co-occurring substance use disorders
  • Provide health and behavior assessments and interventions to patients with health conditions
  • Timely and complete documentation and billing for services provided
  • Exhibit flexibility, effective communication skills, and an ability to thrive in multidisciplinary environment
  • Utilize community resources for referrals and assistance
  • Supervise and train entry-level clinical psychologists, and doctoral level interns/fellows
  • Assist in maintaining standards for clinic accreditation by health management organizations, internship program accreditation by the American Psychological Association (APA), and state licensure
