```Job Overview```

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Adult Upgrading Instructor to join our team. As an Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective training programs to our adult students in the Mental Health and Law Unit of our local hospital. You will utilize your expertise in instructional design and content development to create dynamic learning experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Ontario's Get SET (Skills, Education and Training) program, and effective communication skills. The successful candidate will be teaching literacy, English, math, pre-employment, and computer courses to small groups and one-on-one.

```Responsibilities```

- Develop and deliver training programs using various instructional techniques

- Conduct student assessments to evaluate starting points for instruction

- Monitor student progress and provide feedback on performance

- Participate in the development of meaningful learning activities

- Understand the needs of our vulnerable populations and be able to assist in the achievement of their academic goals.

- Complete required Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training, and Skills Development forms.

- Organization skills and attention to detail is essential

```Experience```

- Bachelor's degree in a related field

- Experience working in an adult upgrading classroom

- Strong computer skills

- Access to a vehicle for traveling between sites (teaching at both sites may be required)

- Current Vulnerable Sector Screening Criminal Record Check required

- Current immunizations required

- Experience with using Ontario Adult Literacy Curriculum Framework is an asset

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to instruct math and English skills to a Grade 9 level

- Ability to educate and communicate concepts effectively
