JOB SUMMARY This position is intended to provide Tribal members with training to develop work- and life-skills, in an effort to promote employability of Tribal members for vacant or newly created positions within the Tribe. This position is only open to Muckleshoot Tribal members. MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES This list is intended only to illustrate the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or is a logical assignment, to the position. Attends and participates in recommended training or educational opportunities, in order to develop essential work and life-skills needed for future employability or to attain established career goals. Arrives to work in a timely manner and maintains good attendance. Establishes and maintains positive and professional work relationships. Performs tasks as required for job assignment. Because of the Tribe’s commitment to community service and the well being of its members, each employee may be expected to perform a wide range of office and field duties from time to time. Such duties may or may not be related to their regular responsibilities, and may include driving. EDUCATION - EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING FOR POSITION Must be a Muckleshoot Tribal member. Job training or educational recommendations may be included in the participants development plan to meet requirements of various job assignments and for potential career development. SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES REQUIRED FOR POSITION Varies, but training/education to be provided to meet basic requirements of job assignment. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The working conditions described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this class. Varies, but must be capable of performing the physical requirements of the job assignment.
Responsibilities
The participant will attend training and educational opportunities to develop essential work and life skills for future employability. They are also expected to perform a variety of office and field duties to support the Tribe's community service initiatives.
