Description:
JOIN THE POWERTRAIN TEAM BASED IN BRISTOL AS AN ADVANCED ELECTRICAL ENGINEER AND HELP US ACHIEVE OUR MISSION OF PIONEERING ELECTRIC AVIATION.
What will success look like for you, as an Advanced Electrical Engineer?
Your primary responsibilities are focused towards the design and development of the Aircraft HV distribution system and power distribution units. HV design experience would be great, however, relevant post-education experience within electrical systems design would also work well within this role.
More specifically, the role will include:
- Designing system electrical drawings, harnesses and interfaces.
- Electro-mechanical integration of the battery system.
- Analysis of functional, behavioural and performance requirements.
- Working on Trade studies, related with weight estimations.
- Preparing documents, from design concepts to detailed electronic (CAD/3D) Drawings.
- Electrical system FMEAs
- Supporting system FTAs
What would we like you to bring?
We want you to be successful in your role, in order to achieve this you, we’re looking for experience in the below areas:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering.
- Experience designing Electrical diagrams drawing, preferably in in CATIA.
- Experience with Harness development 2D and 3D, preferably in CATIA.
- Knowledge of clearance and creepage rules.
- A mechanical awareness of statics, vibration, material selection.
- Experience with requirements management
- High Voltage experience would be ideal, but not necessary
- Knowledge of battery pack design, bus-bar design thermal sizing and power distribution units are advantageous but not essential
- eVTOL or Aerospace experience would be valuable, but not necessary
