Description

The Manufacturing Advance Material Flow Manager is responsible for designing, optimizing, and implementing efficient material handling and logistics processes within a manufacturing facility. Their primary goal is to ensure a seamless and timely flow of materials—from suppliers through production to final product distribution—while minimizing waste, reducing costs, and enhancing productivity.
Manufacturing Advance Material Flow Manager is responsible for key deliverables related to manpower planning, material flow analysis, and logistics optimization. This includes maintaining the Material Flow Plan of Record, assigning delivery manpower, and analyzing commodity assignments, inbound delivery methods, trailer gates, dock/trailer usage, and storage strategies (e.g., marshalling, staging, bulk, and small lot storage).
Additionally, the role involves ensuring First-In-First-Out (FIFO) flow, maintaining Material Flow Data in PFEP, managing change processes, tracking KPIs, and overseeing material flow setups for IRF (international logistics flows), MEP, and 3PL operations. Other responsibilities include conducting new program analyses and trailer yard evaluations to optimize logistics and efficiency.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree required (Industrial Engineering/Manufacturing Systems preferred)
Minimum of 8 years of experience in manufacturing and project management
Candidate must possess an understanding and competency in the optimization of material movement
Experience ensuring efficient and effective material handling processes from receipt through to distribution or disposal
Experience in analyzing and optimizing workflows, coordinating supply chain activities, and implementing strategic solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel and Access)
Experience with Engineering & EBOM screens
Working knowledge of ergonomics and its application
Professionalism and ability to present to leadership
