Job title: Advanced Data & AI Exploitation Lead
Location: Frimley, all other BAE Systems UK sites can be considered. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: £85,000 + depending on experience

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

Essential:

  • Relevant experience in driving the development of data capabilities, ideally in federated organisations
  • Relevant numerate degree, ideally providing exposure to data analysis (or relevant subsequent work experience).
  • Awareness of advanced data exploitation capabilities including remaining current on industry trends

Desirable:

  • Understanding of the BAE Systems customer landscape, requirements and ambition, with particular focus on defence
Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day coordination of Head Office initiated / led programmes introducing new advanced data exploitation capability, initially focusing on the Enterprise Data Platform
  • Own, develop, maintain and drive adoption of the common framework for delivery of advanced data exploitation projects (the ‘Data Analytics Framework’ or ‘DAF’) to enable efficient working with robust governance and assurance
  • Define and drive adoption of delivery governance tailored to the specific requirements of advanced data exploitation work delivered across BAE Systems including within Sectors
  • Identify and monitor market trends in advanced data exploitation / AI, applying this knowledge in the context of enabling BAE Systems to apply new tools / techniques
  • Scope and manage targeted use of third-party services as needed to accelerate development of BAE Systems strategy, capability and policy
  • Drive adoption of advanced data and AI exploitation, working with Group and Sector stakeholders
