As an Advanced Data Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing data solutions to facilitate our data-driven initiatives. You will work with cross-functional teams to comprehend business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient data pipelines. Your expertise in data engineering and analytics will contribute to the success of our data-driven decision-making and enable us to derive valuable insights from our data.

You will report directly to our Sr. Financial Systems Manager and you’ll work out of our Charlotte, NC or Raleigh, NC location on a hybrid work schedule.

  • Hybrid Work Schedule Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F.

In this role, you will impact the organization by developing and maintaining data pipelines, optimizing data storage and retrieval, and ensuring data quality and integrity. You will work with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to comprehend their data needs and provide them with the necessary infrastructure and tools to access and analyze data.

Responsibilities
  • Approve and implement changes to applications: Metadata hierarchies (Chart of Accounts, Entities), custom dimensions, mapping tables, rules/scripting, security.
  • Validate data and controls within FDMEE / HFM processes.
  • Manage submission requirements and data flow of various reporting processes
  • Application / performance support jointly with lT function
  • Facilitate delivery of core financial statements, Qtr. schedules, FP&A reporting
  • Provide global end-user training, reference materials, and technical support
  • Manage audit & compliance deliverables, testing, walk-throughs
  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to facilitate data-driven initiative
  • Optimize data storage and retrieval for efficient data processing and throughput
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through data validation and cleansing processes
  • Develop and implement data governance and security measures to protect sensitive data
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the team and other stakeholders
