Job Description for Advanced Electronics Transitions Engineer   Honeywell VE/CE CoE is offering a new opportunity for talented Advanced Electronics Transitions Engineer.   The role: This position provides an exciting opportunity to advance your Engineering career within one of Honeywell’s most dynamic business units, working within the Value Engineering and Component Engineering Centre of Excellence.    Working side by side with a team of highly skilled engineers across the world, you will be supporting at regional level within the EMEA Region the initiatives to performing transitions within our organization, whether it is a Site to Site, Outsourcing or  Insourcing, you will be an active part on each one of them, analyzing, collecting data, coordinating and reporting, through the use of the best of the class techniques, to ensure our transitions are performed smoothly, risk-free and aligned with our stakeholders. Analyzing potential opportunities to improve productivity during the transitions is our main goal, and we do it through a deep analysis of products, systems and materials, which can lead to savings.   While you will be reporting to the Regional Transitions Manager, this position requires a high degree of working independently, used to manage tight timelines and deadlines with rigor and commitment; while still being a team player with your team mates and stakeholders, understanding the complexity in being in a role that will be the interface of many different business units within our global organization. Having clear communication, commitment, eagerness to keep growing and being capable of staying calm in the middle of the storm would be necessary skills to fit in this position.   This position is expected to travel within the EMEA Region up to 25% of your time, visiting Sites, Suppliers and/or internal meetings with other stakeholders.   Responsibilities will include:  * Participate in daily, weekly, monthly meetings with the stakeholders, internal and external * Be part of the Global VE/CE CoE team and working simultaneously with multiple stakeholders worldwide * Driving VE/CE productivity through generating ideas during the transitions * Identifying product cost savings opportunities through vendor changes, insourcing and/or relocating manufacturing operations  * Leading the assigned projects, ensuring that transitions are being performed safe, smoothly and on time, being able to communicate systematically with all the stakeholders in a timely manner any progress, especially the ones with high impact in the transition * Working closely across the different GBEs and strengthening a close relationship and collaboration with the GBE Leaders, Design teams, Regional Sourcing and ISC (Integrated Supply Chain) leaders * Attending the assigned training, sites and suppliers’ visits as a part of preparation prior transitions happen  * Actively working with the other Regional Transitions teams on building up the Best Practices library to capture lessons learned through the transitions  * Leading multi-disciplinary projects within your Region    Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor/master’s degree with 5+ years’ experience on Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering  * Able to understand a BoM, thinking out of the box to exploring new concepts, redesigns of products and/or processes, proposing ideations to reduce BoM cost either by redesigning or optimizing  * Six Sigma Green Belt and Lean Manufacturing certification with experience supporting manufacturing is a plus * Technology leading experience on product development from initial definition to mass production * 3D software knowledge to be able to review and modify files is an advantage  * Experience in Agile/PMP methodologies and familiarity with Change Management and Kotter/Prosci models is a plus  * A Team player with passion and eagerness to do whatever it takes for business success with a keen sense of urgency and strong drive * Excellent communication skills with an entrepreneurial spirit to drive team results * Technical Project Management (Engineering or Manufacturing sector), 3-5 years’ experience  * Languages: Fluent English (C1) for the EMEA region and a second European language (desirable)   Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, adaptability, resilience in conflict resolution, active listening, empathy and emotional intelligence, and a process-oriented approach   Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in electronics or electrical is preferred.    We offer:  * Competitive Salary regularly increased based on your performance * Enjoy 25 vacation days per year, plus extra days off for life's special events * We provide meal vouchers * Flexible benefits basket with monthly budget allocated (top up medical insurance, life insurance, pension, vacation/ cultural/ fuel vouchers) * Medical Insurance Plan paid by the company * Christmas and Easter bonuses * Recognition & referral bonus programs * Comprehensive induction, ongoing training and development to set you up for success * In-house and external learning platforms (Udemy) to continue to expand your skills * Work experience opportunities to help you grow your career with us * Global employee networks to help you connect and grow * Employee Assistance Program - Free and confidential service to help with any difficulties regarding work, life and personal or family matters * In case of unfortunate events, we support you by offering you free days and financial support (handled on a case-by-case basis) or Family financial aids * Access Integrity line - Any workplace issues or violations that need to be raised in good faith can be communicated in a safe, private and confidential environment * Your family is growing up while working at Honeywell?
