Job Description The purpose of this Knoxville, TN based job is to design, maintain, and upgrade critical cloud-related infrastructure running on Windows and Unix for the IT organization. This person is expected to have a well-rounded framework of knowledge around the software development lifecycle, scripting, and infrastructure-as-code languages and platforms. This person will also display knowledge around cloud best practices and security. Manage and execute cloud infrastructure projects to improve the efficiency, availability, and performance of the company’s cloud-hosted systems Determine project specifications based on business and user needs, and review pricing options for projects based on current service prices Research, Architect, develop, and help implement processes and workloads on AWS and other cloud providers Assist in the resolution of complex performance and availability issues Architect and build CICD and Infrastructure as Code for cloud workloads Provide feedback on issues to appropriate developers and IT team members to improve functionality and performance Mentor and provide guidance to other Cloud Operations team members Model behaviors that support Pilot Company’s virtues; Driven – Reliable – Authentic - Welcoming Ensure all activities follow rules, regulations, policies, and procedures Complete other duties as assigned Qualifications We are seeking applicants with a local presence in Knoxville, TN or the surrounding communities.
