You must already hold a valid AFA - Advanced First Aid ticket - previously OFA3
We are seeking highly motivated and experience Advanced First Aid or EMR to join our team in Fort St. John, BC. This role is critical for ensuring the heath and safety of all personnel on-site through emergency medical response, injury management, and proactive safety practices.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Due to the nature of the position, an Industrial First Aid attendant must:

  • Posses and maintain a reasonable level of fitness;
  • Have good observation skills;
  • Be able to work long hours, work many consecutive shifts both day and night shift;
  • Be able to work several consecutive shifts, both day and night shifts;
  • First Aid Attendants must have normal color vision as many safety systems are color code.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License & Current (within 3 months) Drivers Abstract
  • Common Safety Orientation (can provide)
  • H2S Alive (can provide)
  • WHIMIS (provided)
  • TDG (provided)
  • Current Provincial Governing Body Registration
Responsibilities
  • Provide immediate and competent care for injuries and illnesses in accordance to the level of care you are trained for (AFA or EMR)
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records and incident reports.
  • Support site safety initiatives and participate in hazard assessments and safety meetings.
  • Preform daily inspections and maintenance of medical equipment and supplies.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors, safety officers, and workers to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Act as a key member of the site ERT.
  • Provide medical coverage during all operation hours, including field work and construction activities.
