Description

OUR MISSION

At Vertical Aerospace, we are pioneering the future of electric aviation. Our VX4 eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) aircraft is designed to set a new benchmark for zero-emissions air travel and redefine aerospace best practices.
We are moving at pace—from prototype to scalable SME—and the coming years are pivotal as we work towards certifying and operating the VX4 by 2030.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

  • Knowledge of EASA SC.VTOL and associated Means of Compliance, or comparable experience in transport category aircraft or rotorcraft.
  • Familiarity with airborne software/hardware development standards such as DO-178C, DO-254, and DO-160G.
  • Experience working on eVTOL, rotorcraft, or high-integrity fixed-wing flight control systems.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM US?

We’re on a mission. Where others see limits, we see opportunity, and we work at pace. Working at Vertical isn’t your average role but for those seeking a challenge, a flexible, supportive organisation and an incredible team; working here is an opportunity to do the best work of your career.
Our approach promotes ingenuity and courage, while our environment builds success through diligence in safety and being open in the way we work. The only way we’re going to assure the next chapter of aviation history is by working as a team, relentlessly, towards our goal.

  • Lead specific development and verification tasks, with responsibility for delivery to time and quality.
  • Contribute to certification planning, safety assessments, configuration management, and compliance documentation.
  • Support principal engineers and the safety team on complex engineering work, including FMEA, fault tree analysis, and safety case development.
  • Manage technical oversight of suppliers and participate in reviews and technical discussions.
  • Collaborate across disciplines including avionics, software, integration, simulation, and safety.
  • Contribute to the development and continual improvement of internal systems engineering processes.
