Exciting Career Opportunity: Band 8a Advanced Hand Therapy Practitioner

University College Hospital London Hand Therapy team is seeking a motivated, skilled professional to join our team and embark on a journey of growth and excellence in hand therapy.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, dynamic and suitably qualified OT or PT Senior Hand Therapist to have a pivotal role within the Musculoskeletal (MSK) Outpatient Therapy Service at University College London Hospital (UCLH).
The Hand Therapy team at UCLH has a diverse caseload, working closely with our orthopaedic hand surgeons, to see a wide variety of trauma and elective cases through both hand trauma and post operative clinics. The team also manages patients referred from our Rheumatology teams, treating patients with arthritis and hypermobility, as well as taking referrals from the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN), Queen Square, which is the UK’s largest dedicated neurological and neurosurgical hospital. There are regular Hand therapy Team and MDT meetings, as well as teaching. The Hand therapists are also actively involved in clinical audits and research.
With the support of other senior clinicians in Hand therapy you will lead on service evaluation and improvement, audit and operational management of the Hand Therapy Team. You will work to the highest standards to facilitate evidence-informed patient care, playing a key role in supporting and sharing knowledge with other staff members to facilitate and develop hand therapy best practice in line with local and national guidelines.
