JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

As a Thermal Systems Design Engineer you will report to the Thermal Systems Engineering Manager, and define and deliver solutions for the LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines. In this role you will be responsible for and conduct secondary flow analyses and tests to define and optimize the design of a variety of hot section components including NPI projects. You will be using heat transfer and fluid mechanics analysis tools, be involved in rig testing, and monitor and assess engine testing. You will contribute to new product introduction, improving existing products, and resolving manufacturing issues with mechanical design engineers.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an engineering role
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, present, and/or review technical data with internal and external customers.
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data consistent with engineering policies.
  • Resolve issues using established procedures. Consult with supervisor or more senior team members as needed for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
