SENIOR SIMULATION & MODELING ENGINEER (FEA/ABAQUS) – BUILDING MATERIALS INNOVATION

Location: On-site | Carlisle, PA
Employment Type: Full-time
Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder
Are you passionate about applying advanced simulation tools to real-world problems? Do you want to see your work drive innovation in sustainable and high-performance building systems? We’re looking for a collaborative, hands-on engineer who is ready to make a meaningful impact through cutting-edge modeling and analysis.
Join a dynamic, purpose-driven organization that values innovation, teamwork, and technical excellence. Our teams are dedicated to advancing next-generation commercial roofing technologies that meet today’s environmental and structural challenges.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

In this role, you’ll lead structural, thermal, and dynamic modeling projects for commercial roofing systems. Your simulations and insights will directly influence material selection, product design, and performance optimization across the product lifecycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own advanced finite element analysis (FEA) efforts using ABAQUS, focused on roofing membranes, adhesives, and related components.
  • Develop, calibrate, and validate material and structural models, especially for thermoplastic and EPDM rubber-based membranes.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D, product development, and manufacturing teams to translate simulation findings into practical solutions.
  • Use statistical tools and design of experiments (DOE) to plan tests, analyze results, and guide formulation improvements.
  • Tackle complex engineering challenges related to nonlinear material behavior, thermal effects, and product durability.
  • Communicate results through clear, actionable reports and presentations to internal stakeholders.
  • Stay current on trends in FEA, CFD, and materials modeling to push the boundaries of innovation.
