Description

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Diploma in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant MEP/electrical work experience in the UAE.
  • Certifications: TAQA / DEWA / SEWA / FEWA certified (mandatory or preferred).

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Strong knowledge of electrical installations and fault troubleshooting.
  • Experience in both LV and HV electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with AMI systems will be an added advantage.
  • Additional Requirements:
  • Must be physically fit and capable of fieldwork.
  • Valid UAE Driving License is an advantage and will be prioritized in selection.

Responsibilities

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a dedicated and technically skilled AMI Field Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess a solid background in electrical systems, MEP works, and field-based maintenance and installations. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) systems and utility-based projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Install, maintain, and inspect electrical systems and devices including circuit breakers, MCBs, MCCBs, DBs, isolators, and smart meters.
  • Work with both low and high-voltage systems (Single Phase, Two Phase, and Three Phase).
  • Interpret and follow electrical diagrams and technical drawings.
  • Conduct cable pulling, piping, junction box fixing, coring, and drilling as per site requirements.
  • Perform fault diagnosis and repair using appropriate testing tools and methods.
  • Replace or upgrade existing electrical equipment, fixtures, and wiring using hand and power tools.
  • Ensure compliance with national electric codes and local building regulations.
  • Support AMI meter installations and related field operations.
  • Carry out maintenance checks on electrical panels, breakers, and other components.
