1 post Robin House – permanent, full time post (37.5 hours)
Salary: DC Level H £57121 - £63,240 per annum, pro rata
Unsocial hours premia added 6%

INTRODUCTION

We have an amazing team of ANPs in CHAS who we are incredibly proud of, but we are looking for one more. Will that be you?
In this exciting role, you will utilise your advanced knowledge and skills to provide expert care to the children and young people along with their families and carers, who use CHAS. CHAS provides care to children and young people who may die young. You will support our delivery of palliative care and care around dying. You will create long lasting relationships with these children, young people and their families, making a valuable and meaningful impact.
In this role you will be seen as a clinical leader, you will champion CHAS and act as a role model to all our teams. We created our own ANP strategy in 2024 to guide the work of the whole team and the ANP team are working to deliver on this. The strategy promotes the 4 pillars of practice and the role is actively changing to meet the needs of the service whilst using the skills we recognise in our ANP team members.
This role will be based in Robin House and will support palliative care and care around dying in the Hospice, at home and in Hospitals. Our strategic aim is to reach more children and young people in every part of Scotland, and we are always looking at how we can do that better.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO

You will be 1 of 10 ANPs in CHAS. This post is based in Robin House in Balloch. As part of the team, you will contribute to a 7 day a week service from 0900 – 1800 each day, providing medical assessment, care and treatment to medically complex children and young people and their families.
Your role will encompass the 4 pillars of advance practice;

To be successful in this role, you will have the following-

  • A passion to make a difference, to share expertise and knowledge and to work collaboratively within CHAS and with our partner agencies.
  • You will be a Registered Nurse / RN (Child) with a Master’s level education to at least PGDip in Advanced Practice including V300 Non-medical prescribing certification.
  • Direct care experience of delivering palliative and end of life care in hospital or hospice or home settings.
  • Evidence of competence in the clinical skills relevant to palliative and end of life care delivery in CHAS.
  • Experience of delivering training to others in a variety of settingQuality improvement methodology underpinning your practice
