The Onsite Advanced Powder Coating Technician will set up, operate, or tend spraying or rolling machines to coat or paint any of a wide variety of products.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Thorough knowledge of Powder coating operations
  • Valid Forklift certification
  • Must have verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to follow directions accurately
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to travel to other divisions when required.
  • Detailed and hands-on oriented.

Responsibilities:

  • Follows safety procedures as instructed.
  • Reports any unsafe conditions to the Company.
  • Follows work instructions, quality procedures, and work standards.
  • Interact in a professional manner with other employees.
  • Participates with work teams as needed. Works overtime as necessary.
  • Reads routing and performs work as assigned by department supervisor.
  • Uses manual tools as instructed to perform work.
  • Operates production machinery as instructed to perform work.
  • Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
  • Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected and notify operators of any malfunctions.
  • Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
  • Separate products according to weight, grade, size, or composition of materials used to produce them.
  • Properly dispose of all scrap produced during shift.
  • Fill out daily production reports.
  • Fill out hourly quality reports.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area per area 5S procedures.
