Through structured mentorship, interdisciplinary learning, and engagement with our community, the program fosters clinical confidence and a lifelong commitment to advancing health equity. Timeline · Application process opens in February with rolling admissions · One year of residency training starts in October · One year of supported independent practice as a staff NP begins the following October Program Structure · Resident Sessions: residents see their own patients and are precepted by experienced MDs and NPs in primary/urgent care · Mentorship Sessions: residents work from an experienced provider’s schedule in a collaborative manner · Specialty Sessions: residents see patients in conjunction with a specialty provider · Weekly didactic/seminars/workshops directly related to primary care topics and procedures · Transitional RN Sessions: residents learn outpatient clinic workflow and manage triage alongside experienced clinic RNs · Weekly one-on-one advisory sessions with an experienced provider, throughout the 24-month commitment · Extra administrative time to allow for patient care outside of visits · Options to become involved in Quality Improvement or other special projects Sample Specialty Clinics · Pediatrics · Urgent Care · Dermatology · Prenatal Care · Gynecologic procedures · Acupuncture · Substance Use · Podiatry · Sports Medicine · Gastroenterology · Infectious Disease · Memory/Frailty Clinic · Complex Diabetes Clinic · Cardiology Details Residents are hired as full-time employees with benefits. Year 1 salary $87,700 plus benefits. Year 2 salary $115,000 plus benefits. Most providers qualify for significant loan repayment opportunities through HRSA's National Health Service Corps, Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program, or state programs such as Massachusetts League of Community Health Center's student loan repayment programs. DHH is considered a high-need Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with a HPSA score of 17. Ample opportunities for professional growth throughout the 24 month program. Residents are periodically evaluated using academic tools relying on self-evaluations as well as faculty and mentor evaluations. We hope residents will consider longer term employment as a provider at DHH after the program. This will be determined by the fit of the provider and availability of positions after the 2-year program. Application Now accepting applications for rolling admission to the 2026 residency program Important dates: February 2026: application cycle opens March-May 2026: interviews and acceptance letters October 2026: 2026 residents year #1 starts October 2027: 2026 residents year #2 starts Qualifications The program is open to any new FNP who: · Graduates by June 2026, or within 3 years of graduation · Has interest in community health, primary care, and making a difference in patients’ lives · Knows they will benefit from a supportive next step in their career to become a confident and effective health care provider · Can commit to a two-year residency program at Dot House Accreditation Dot House Health NP Residency is working toward accreditation as an Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship/Residency Program through a national credentialing project. Requirements APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must agree to two years of full-time employment as described above Applicants must be Family or Adult/Gero Nurse Practitioners Applicants must be a citizen of the US or a foreign national with a visa permitting permanent residency in the US, or a non-citizen national. Individuals on temporary or student visas are not eligible Applicants must graduate on or before June 2026, including all clinical hours requirements Applicants are required to sit for their boards as soon as possible.
