  • An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced Band 7 Advanced Practice Dietitian to join the West of Scotland Adult Cystic Fibrosis and Respiratory Unit, based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH), within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
    This post offers the chance to work as an integral member of a dynamic and supportive multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to adults living with Cystic Fibrosis (CF). You will be a key contributor in shaping and advancing nutritional care within this specialist area.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • HCPC registration as a Dietitian.
  • Post-registration masters level award or equivalent in a relevant field, ideally with prior involvement in respiratory or CF care.
  • Advanced level capability across the 4 pillars of practice (Clinical, Education, leadership, and Research).
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage clinical services and influence practice development.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and multidisciplinary team working abilities.
  • Commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the dietetic clinical and operational aspects of the Adult CF Service.
  • Provide expert, evidence-based dietetic care to patients across inpatient, outpatient, and home settings.
  • Manage a complex caseload independently, ensuring personalised and effective nutrition interventions.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate nutrition care plans in collaboration with patients and the wider healthcare team.
  • Play a pivotal role in service development and innovation, ensuring care is aligned with national professional and HCPC standards.
  • Offer leadership, supervision, and mentorship to dietetic staff and students.
  • Actively contribute to clinical research initiatives and participate in relevant national and international dietetic networks.
