Description GENERAL SUMMARY Individual who is a graduate of an accredited APRN program, and successfully passed certifying examination, and who is approved by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing, Advanced Practice Nursing to perform medical services and treatment of patients with an approved Collaborative Practice Agreement. Provides professional nursing care within the NRMC Walk in Clinic setting, coordinates care planning with other disciplines, and provides direct and indirect patient care. Provides care that reflects initiative, flexibility and responsibility indicative of professional expectation with minimum supervision. Is able to triage safely, rapidly, and accurately, every patient that enters the clinic setting. Determine priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. Communicates with physician about changes in patient’s status, symptomatology, and results of diagnostic studies. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to patient’s condition or response of treatment. Requirements Regulatory Requirements: • Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Louisiana. • Current BCLS Certification • Current ACLS Certification • Current PALS Certification • NRP preferred but not required
Responsibilities
