How you’ll make an impact in this role Ascension Medical Group Via Christi is looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Immediate Care team in Wichita, Kansas. Position Highlights: Deliver same-day care with walk-in visits and on-line check-in, improving access for patients needing timely treatment. Work alongside experienced advanced practice providers in a supportive outpatient setting. Serve the growing Wichita community by improving access to timely, convenient care for non-emergent medical needs. Responsibilities: Provide direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services under the supervision of a physician. Obtain patient history and perform assessment. Order, perform and interpret diagnostic procedures. Provide and document direct treatment and management of health conditions. Provide counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources. Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care. What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Education: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred. Work Experience: 1 year of experience preferred.
