How you’ll make an impact in this role Ascension Illinois is looking for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Advanced Practice Provider, Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for our Internal Medicine Department This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Illinois to provide medical services to patients. Position Highlights: 100% outpatient Part-time Join a busy and well-established Medical Group Internal Medicine Practice Clinic attached to Medical Center in Medical Office Building See 18 years old and up See 12-15 patients per day in clinic on average 1 Saturday per month, 8-12pm MA support Excellent office support staff Great Northwest Suburban location Responsibilities: Provide direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services under the supervision of a physician. Obtain patient history and perform assessment. Order, perform and interpret diagnostic procedures. Provide and document direct treatment and management of health conditions. Provide counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources. Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care. What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred. Work Experience: 1 year of experience preferred.
