Description
The Advanced Quality Engineer will be tasked to build and/or support a supplier quality system that meets the stringent requirements GTI flows down, offering specific subject matter expertise concerning NPI and APQP requirements, as well as checking fixtures, measurement equipment and tools development and implementation. The AQE will report to the Director of AQE and be responsible for ensuring new Customers, products and programs are successfully launched from a Quality perspective. Requirements * · Lead Quality related items starting in NPI early stages through launch * · Improve APQP procedures and implement * · In conjunction with engineering and manufacturing develop and implement process flows and PFMEA for assigned programs * · Develop and implement Control Plans, Quality WI’s, Checklists, and quality portion of travelers for new customers and programs * · Determine and coordinate procurement and installation of any required check fixtures and measurement equipment/tools * · In conjunction with the customer, develop FAT requirements * · Work on continuous improvement and system automation initiatives as required * · The employee must regularly interact positively with co-workers, supervisors, managers and customers; work under severe time constraints and meet multiple demands from several people. * · Travel %: potentially 30% in a year * · Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * · Minimum education bachelor’s degree in engineering or quality systems or similar education * · Minimum 5 years work experience in Quality; preferably in Solar, Automotive or Aerospace * · Working experience with AIAG APQP and Core Tools required. Preferred qualifications: * · Master’s Degree preferred * · Quality fixture/tool design experience a plus * · CAD experience * · Program Management experience a plus * · Certification as an American Society for Quality CSQP, CQE, or CQA is a plus * · Multitasking abilities are expected.
