JOB SUMMARY

Student needed for AAMU-RISE project involving signal processing and AI/ML
For this effort with a national laboratory, we need students working part-time (5 to 20 hours per week) on the campus of AAMU university. This project will involve the processing of distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) data utilizing signal processing and artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) methodologies. From the AI/ML domain, supervised classification methods methodologies will be implemented for this project.
Required Qualifications: Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Geophysics, or general STEM student with some programming experience needed for AAMU-RISE project. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Python programming language, undergraduate or graduate student with experience in signal processing and geophysics. Experience with implementation of AI/ML methodologies in a software framework.
Anticipated start date: October 2025
Anticipated end date: September 2026
