Basic Qualifications Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Responsibilities for this Position ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES: At GDMS, Systems Engineers can advance into technical leadership, program management, or advanced engineering specialties. As a Systems Engineer on RSP, you'll be part of a cross-functional engineering team delivering hardware, software and systems solutions. This Systems Engineer role may focus on one or more of the following areas: Test & Integration Engineering: hardware/software validation, verification, and performance testing Requirements Engineering: documenting, analyzing, and managing system requirements Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE): system modeling, simulations, and design analysis Hardware-Systems Engineering: design, integration, and troubleshooting of hardware systems Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related STEM. Agile experience preferred. 5 years professional experience with 2+ years in Systems Engineering, including Test & Integration, Requirements Analysis, Model Based Systems Engineering or Hardware Systems work (Master's degree may substitute for experience). Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills. Experience in Systems Engineering, including Test & Integration, Requirements, MBSE, or Hardware-Systems. Knowledge of systems design, MBSE modeling, and simulation. Familiarity with requirements management tools (DOORS, Cameo, or similar). Experience with defense, aerospace, or mission-critical systems. Key Responsibilities Execute systems engineering activities in Test & Integration, Requirements, MBSE, or Hardware-Systems, depending on focus area. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure system performance, reliability, and compliance. Document, review, and manage system requirements using requirements management tools and MBSE.
