Description
Advanced Teaching Assistants Middlesbrough TS6 9AW £18,964 - £19,845 actual salary + benefits Part-time | Permanent / Temporary / Job Share  To start as soon as possible, or from September 2026   Not every young person thrives in a mainstream classroom. At Outwood Alternative Provision Eston, we work with students who need something different: a smaller setting, stronger relationships, and adults who genuinely believe in their potential.   We're looking for Advanced Teaching Assistants who can provide the consistency, encouragement and specialist support that helps young people re-engage with education. This is a role for someone who is patient, resilient and emotionally intelligent, and who understands that progress is often measured in small but significant steps.   Working alongside teachers and pastoral staff, you'll deliver targeted interventions, support learning in and beyond the classroom, and help students overcome barriers linked to SEND, social, emotional and mental health needs.    Every day is different, and while the role can be demanding, the opportunity to make a lasting difference to a young person's future is immense.   Our students need adults who can build trust, remain calm under pressure, and maintain high expectations - even when circumstances are challenging. In return, you'll join a highly supportive team that is committed to helping every student succeed.   * Working pattern: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time plus 5 days. * Permanent and temporary opportunities available. Job share applications welcome.   Why Join Outwood?   As part of the Outwood Family of Schools, you'll be joining a nationally recognised trust that invests heavily in its people. Alongside a competitive salary and pension scheme, you'll benefit from:   * Access to Outwood Plus, our employee rewards and wellbeing platform, offering hundreds of discounts, recognition schemes and wellbeing resources. * A generous Local Government Pension Scheme. * A comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme, providing confidential emotional, financial and practical support for you and your family. * Extensive opportunities for professional development, including apprenticeships, accredited qualifications and training through the Outwood Institute of Education. * A strong commitment to colleague wellbeing, with dedicated wellbeing resources, family-friendly policies and menopause support. * Career progression opportunities across one of the UK's largest and highest-performing multi-academy trusts. * Free onsite parking at many Outwood locations.   Most importantly, you'll join a supportive team where your contribution is valued and where every day presents an opportunity to make a genuine difference to young people's lives.   We'd love the opportunity to show you around and tell you more about life at Outwood Alternative Provision Eston. To arrange a visit or an informal chat about the role, please contact Faye Stephenson at f.stephenson@eston.outwood.com [f.stephenson@eston.outwood.com]   If you're ready for a role that's challenging, rewarding and genuinely impactful, visit the Outwood Grange Academies Trust vacancies page and apply online today.   Closing date: Tuesday 30 June 2026.
