If so, we at Guys and St Thomas’ Foundation NHS Trust Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy departments are looking for you to come and join our Cancer Rehabilitation Transition Service.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic, forward thinking and committed advanced assistant to work within the cancer rehabilitation team at Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospital. The successful candidate will work in an exciting post that will assist the physiotherapy and occupational therapy service to deliver rehabilitation to patients with a cancer diagnosis at Guy’s hospital.
This post is for a static Band 4 therapy assistant and would be suitable for someone looking to develop their skills in oncology rehabilitation and work alongside our oncology multi-disciplinary team in an inpatient setting.
The Guy’s Cancer Rehabilitation Transition team carry a small caseload of patients with complex cancer presentations who require an enhanced rehabilitation package while in the acute setting. It aims to improve functional outcomes, quality of life, and patient experience through increased rehabilitation frequency and supportive transfer into the community.

Our aim is to be patient centered, research driven and clinical lead by highly experienced staff. Applicants would be responsible for delivering rehabilitative assessment and intervention to oncology and palliative care patients as supported by physiotherapists and occupational therapists.
The successful applicant will implement timely and person-centered assessment and rehabilitation programmes as well as carrying out administrative tasks to support the team. Excellent communication, organisational and information technology skills are essential
