To participate in the day-today running of palliative care services based at Royal North Hospital.
The advanced Trainee is responsible for the timely review of patients referred to consult services and ensuring that in discussion with the AMO, a palliative care plan is documented and communicated to the rest of the palliative care team as well as the referring team.
The role is imperative to support more junior medical officers rotating to palliative care and making referrals to palliative care.
The role also provides support and medical direction to other members of the multidisciplinary palliative care team.
