KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Preferred: Experience with relational database systems, preferably in a CRM (e.g, Blackbaud NXT, Veracross, or Salesforce)
  • Preferred: Prior experience in an Advancement Office
  • Required: Is detail-oriented, with a focus on accurate data entry
  • Required: Possesses strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Required: Works independently and effectively
  • Required: Intermediate or better knowledge of Google Office tools (e.g. Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Drive, etc.)
  • Required: Handles confidential information with complete discretion
  • Required: Possesses good communication skills, including the ability to prepare written documents
  • Required: Displays a willingness to learn and is able to flex as priorities change. Is a team player with a high level of integrity
  • Required: Able to prioritize and meet deadlines

Responsibilities
  • Is accountable for timely data input, maintaining development module integrity, and periodic database hygiene review
  • Oversees pledge and “nonbinding intent to give” agreements, as well as pledge reporting, reminders, and fulfillment
  • Executes gift processing and reporting, including campaign and proposal tracking
  • Executes annual Advancement-related reporting, including 990, NAIS/DASL, etc.
  • Maintains matching gift program access information and correspondence, and executes the matching gift submission process
  • Records, processes, and receipts gifts, event-related fees, and pledges in Veracross or Boost My School
  • Supports online giving tool utilization, batching of gifts, and online giving tool support
  • Executes monthly reconciliation with the Business Office
  • Runs ad hoc queries and reports as requested by advancement team leaders
  • Produces reports for the Board of Trustees at the request of the Director of Advancement
  • Produces monthly KPI (Key Performance Indicators) reports
  • Enters constituent data into Veracross with a priority on detail and accuracy
  • Supports Advancement events and volunteer activity
  • Compiles participation classifications and oversees data input needs related to student activities and awards
  • Communicates with other campus offices to ensure accurate and up-to-date constituent information
  • Supports Gift Officers via database input and ad hoc reporting requests
  • Assists in maintaining the policies and procedures (SOPs) library related to Veracross database usage
  • Works closely with the Director of Advancement and Assistant Director of Advancement to support the overall Advancement Office, as needed
  • Provides onsite support for special events, including, but not limited to, Commencement, Reunion, Family Weekends, Bobcat Open Golf Tournament, Scholarship Luncheons, and receptions. Some events will include weekend work.
