Description Job Title: Advancement Associate Appointed by: Head of School Responsible to: The Director of Advancement Evaluation: Performance will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the SCPS Staff Handbook. Goal: The Advancement Assistant will support areas of the Advancement Office. Responsibilities: Supports all aspects of event planning and management, including internal and external events, such as securing event dates, creating timelines, assigning and coordinating all volunteers and staff, and all event logistics Assists with the production of all required printed materials, including, but not limited to, invitations, nametags, programs, signage, and admissions materials Creates new applicant files and collects all admissions records Assists with new student/family onboarding Photographs daily school activities Assists with social media Coordinates alumni activities, communication, and database management with the goal of reconnecting all alumni Other projects as assigned Requirements Professing Christian with a Biblically sound salvation experience that is clearly communicated Models Christian character in speech and actions Commitment to SCPS’ Vision Statement, Mission Statement, and Core Values Bachelor’s Degree in the fields of Marketing, Public Relations, Graphic Design, or related field and work experience, or an equivalent amount of relevant training and experience Detail oriented Project management skills Graphic design expertise Multi-tasking abilities Good communication skills Strong writing and editing skills Well-organized, able to change work focus quickly and constantly throughout the day, as well as determine priorities with minimal supervision Ability to write clearly and concisely and communicate through other mediums Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and all social media platforms Must be able to lift 30 pounds Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time during events and activities Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle
Responsibilities
The Advancement Associate supports event planning, logistics, and the production of printed materials for the school. They also manage applicant files, assist with student onboarding, and coordinate alumni communications.
