Our Adventure Coaches come from all over to Headlands but share a common passion for our surroundings and thrive on connecting our guests with all Pacific City and Oregon’s North Coast have to offer. Whatever you can think of, they’re up to the challenge – from beach bonfires and bird watching to crabbing and kayaking. Our Adventure Coaches are avid explorers of the Oregon Coast and love to share their discoveries—book a private outing with your personal guide for a trail hike, kayak trip, or an adventure you design together. Averages $20.00 to $50.00 more per hour, with tips and commissions. Key Accountabilities: Lead daily activities. Perform each activity to achieve the desired guest experience. Share with guests your love and knowledge of: area history, geology, geography, plant and animal life. Build relationships with guests. Introduce yourself upon arrival and let them know they can count on you to deliver an experience right for them. Engage guests in the brand. Share your story of our coastal home and let guests know of the beauty and natural wonder around every corner, and how and where to find it. Share with guests what Headlands is all about and why we do what we do. Collaborate with other Adventure Coaches, the Adventure Coordinator, and the department Manager to create new, seasonal guest activities and experiences. Use the brand as a lens to determine which activities are right for Headlands. Be a local expert. Know the activities, unique history, flora and fauna of the Pacific City and North Coast area. Requirements You own this if you have… 1-2 years’ experience leading private group tours/activities, preferably outdoors Knowledge and/or expertise in the area history, geology, geography, plant, and animal life Be flexible with work schedules, job duties and job locations Be comfortable speaking in front of groups Ability to focus attention on guest needs, always remaining calm & courteous, and ability to connect with them.
