Revelstoke Mountain Resort (RMR) is seeking an Event Manager to join our team. As an Event Manager, you will collaborate with the Marketing, Skier Services, and Mountain Operations teams to develop, plan and execute all aspects of our on-mountain events. This is a dynamic role where you will coordinate the event volunteer team and provide administrative support to ensure the success of our events.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with team members, volunteers, vendors, and event attendees.
  • Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to adapt to changing circumstances during event planning and execution.
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Previous experience in event coordination or related roles is preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate to develop event plans, ensuring all details are carefully considered and executed.
  • Manage the event volunteer team, providing guidance, assigning tasks, and ensuring everyone is working together effectively.
  • Manage and oversee 1 Full Time and 1 Part Time Coordinator
  • Manage event administration, including event logistics, vendor relationships, and maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Work closely with various internal departments to ensure seamless event operations, such as coordinating with the Food and Beverage team for catering and the Marketing team for promotional materials.
  • Manage event budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Oversee on-site event execution, addressing any issues that may arise and ensuring a smooth and memorable experience for event attendees.
  • Assisting post-event evaluation, collecting feedback, analyzing data, and identifying areas for improvement.
