This advisor role is responsible for supporting all official correspondence requests including Ombudsman and parliamentary questions for the Ministerial Services portfolio. It is key in promoting trust and confidence in the transparency of government. The role also supports and works with Senior Advisors in the team to deliver the wider work programme including providing strategic advice and support to the General Manager Ministerial Services, the Ministerial Services leadership team and wider group

The Ministerial Services group is responsible for providing a range of services to the Executive arm of government with the Strategy and Business Support (SBS) team providing support and advisory functions.
The SBS team supports the General Manager and the wider group by:
The successful candidate will possess;
As an Advisor, you will be responsible for providing timely, accurate and high-quality advice to the General Manager specifically, drafting and reviewing responses to official correspondence, contributing to operational policies, procedures and continuous improvement work for the group. From time to time you will also contribute to public accountability reporting and business support activities.
You will be part of a small team who have a genuine interest in sharing knowledge and supporting one another in an enjoyable, busy and sometimes high paced environment. You will work closely with the SBS Manager and Senior Advisors to deliver for the GM, wider-group and our Minister. We believe in a workplace culture that’s supportive, collaborative and innovative.
This is a short-term role offering fixed or secondment through to the end of September 2025 to backfill for movement within the team.
