Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced part-time Environmental Advisor to work collaboratively to deliver high-quality environmental solutions and results at our Thiess Mt Arthur South Project located in Muswellbrook.

Working 3 days per week and reporting to the Technical Services Manager, your duties will include:

  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant environmental legislation and project approvals
  • Management of top-soiling stripping works including quality assurance
  • Ensuring the successful implementation of the Environmental Management System and compliance to the Client’s Environmental Management Plans
  • Delivering environmental training and awareness programs
  • Ensuring environmental initiatives and innovations are effectively communicated and promoted to strengthen the culture within the business
  • Collation of reports to meet legislative and client requirements
  • Liaison with the client and regulator
  • Co-ordinating environmental inspections and auditing programs and maintaining associated documentation and records
  • Providing interpretation of environmental data and regular progress reports against environmental performance targets
