Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an Advisor to provide technical support to a variety of mineral processing studies.

Reporting to teams Senior Advisor, you will:

  • Plan and schedule laboratory and pilot plant work - e.g. hydrometallurgy, pyrometallurgy or flotation test programs
  • Lead the work of technical officers and technicians
  • Lead small scale projects (responsible for quality, HSE, schedule and budget)
  • Design experimental plans and test methods
  • Interpret results and link results to technical theory and project goals
  • Apply technical problem solving skills
  • Have an uncompromising focus on data quality and attention to detail
  • Prepare reports/memorandums detailing findings and recommendations
  • Present results and recommendations to project stakeholders.

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Metallurgical Engineering or Minerals Processing Engineering or Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
  • Several years’ experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Solution chemistry/hydrometallurgy
  • Pyrometallurgy
  • Flotation
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Commitment to promoting a positive safety and collaborative workplace culture
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and precise manner with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a diverse team
