JOB SUMMARY

The MN Arts Board is looking for an individual passionate in nonprofit management with interest and expertise in the arts. This position works with Minnesota residents with interest and expertise in the arts. This position resolves problems related to recruiting, training, and facilitating the work of volunteer advisory review and site committee members. The ultimate goals of this position are to ensure that the Arts Board has a sufficient, balanced pool of well qualified volunteer advisors to review and rank grant applications, conduct artistic evaluations, and serve on public art selection committees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Three years of experience in sales, marketing, recruitment, customer service, or human resources management.
  • Skills in the use of personal computers, including proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, database.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS TO BE ASSESSED AT INTERVIEW:

  • Written and oral communication skills sufficient to explain Arts Board grant programs and procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work within time constraints and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to travel in and around the state.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in volunteer recruitment or volunteer management.
  • Previous experience working in an arts or nonprofit organization.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to move, transport, install, and remove exhibit or display equipment and materials.
