Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Reporting directly to Manager, Regulatory Services this role will be responsible for:

  • Supporting stakeholders with registration, disclosure, and public funding obligations under the Electoral Act 2002.
  • Delivering core regulatory services including processing applications, supporting compliance, and maintaining registers.
  • Responding to stakeholder enquiries and escalating complex issues appropriately.
  • Assisting with political donation and funding compliance, including reconciling applications and ensuring accurate public reporting.
  • Contributing to the delivery of regulatory priorities and compliance programs across the team.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Demonstrated experience in applying legislation or policy in a regulatory or public sector setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Critical thinking and analytical ability to assess data, identify trends, and contribute to informed decision-making.
  • Commitment to the VEC’s core values.
