Human Resources sits within Enterprise Services, a branch dedicated to supporting the rest of the Department to succeed by providing HR services that help business groups and people within DIA to make the best contribution to New Zealand. About the Role We are seeking a passionate and proactive Wellbeing, Health and Safety Advisor to join our team and help shape a culture of care, resilience, and safety across Te Tari. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing advice, training and support to all kaimahi. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor wellbeing and health and safety tools, procedures and initiatives. Provide generalist advice to people leaders and kaimahi on all aspects of workplace health, safety, and wellbeing. Undertake risk assessments and support incident investigations. Coordinate wellbeing initiatives that support mental, physical, and emotional health. Deliver engaging training and workshops to build awareness and capability at all levels. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure best practices and legislative compliance. About You You are a confident communicator and a trusted advisor with a strong understanding of health and safety legislation and a genuine enthusiasm for learning. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are skilled at influencing positive change. You are pragmatic, organised and most of all passionate about the health and safety of our people. You will bring: Level 6 qualification in Health and Safety or working towards one and/or min. 12 months experience in a Health and Safety Advisor role Working knowledge and understanding of health and safety, with the ability to provide general advice to kaimahi on relevant practices and procedures. Proven high level written and verbal communication skills along with demonstrated experience in problem solving and delivering and engaging presentations. Demonstrated experience in data manipulation, analysis and visualisation along with report witing. Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in, developing and delivering hands on wellbeing, health and safety initiatives and training. Experience in health, safety, and wellbeing in a large, complex, and high-risk environment. Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
