Advisor, Women’s Economic Outcomes Employment Type: Ongoing Classification / Grade / Band: Clerk Grade 7/8 Remuneration: $113,574.00 - $125,720.00; plus, Superannuation and Leave Loading Location: Sydney CBD, Flexible working options available Applications Close: Wednesday 22 April 2026 at 9:59am Your day as an Advisor Join NSW Treasury’s Women’s Economic Outcomes Team within the Strategy, Reviews and Reform Division and help drive gender responsive budgeting in NSW. This high‑impact role will provide exposure to social and economic policy and would suit someone who is motivated to influence decision‑making at the heart of government. The team leads Treasury’s work on gender responsive budgeting, including implementation of the Gender Impact Assessment Policy and delivery of the Gender Equality Budget Statement. As an Advisor, you will contribute to priority projects that embed a gender lens into policy and budget processes, undertaking research, analysing qualitative and quantitative data, and developing evidence‑based advice. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across NSW Treasury, other government agencies and jurisdictions, lead or support discrete workstreams, and help build capability across the sector. Achieve success as an Advisor The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria: Social policy and economic advice: Experience providing social policy and economic advice, with a focus on improving women’s economic outcomes. Public sector budgets: Understanding or experience in public sector financial management, including budget management policies and/or the annual budget process. Data analysis: Demonstrated capability analysing and interpreting qualitative and quantitative data. Communication skills: The ability to clearly communicate complex information, including written, verbal and visual communication. Experience in project management: Ability to utilise project management skills to support the delivery of work priorities. Ways of working: Ability and desire for collaborative teamwork as well as ability to work independently.
