Job Description Start Here Grow Here As part of the AECOM Advisory business unit, our Strategic Procurement team understand the critical importance of a thoroughly developed and market tested procurement strategy, which is a cornerstone for project success, and will ensure the appointment of the right supply chain partners into a commercial relationship based upon aligned objectives. What you’ll do: Lead and / or support in sector leading projects and programmes, as the strategic procurement subject matter expert. Provide procurement advice including understanding client drivers and project success factors, to then lead them through the process of designing the optimum delivery model, contract strategy, commercial model and route to market for their project. Manage the competitive procurement process including market engagement, supplier shortlisting, tender document development, tender management, evaluation, and negotiation. Provide advice on commercial aspects, category management and performance management. Support work winning activity including contributing to proposal documentation. Support the development of AECOM’s overall strategic procurement service offering Collaborate with AECOM colleagues to deliver quality outcomes for our clients, providing high value multi-discipline solutions. Qualifications Ready to push the limits of what’s possible? Here’s what we’re looking for: Five years post-qualification knowledge and experience leading the procurement of complex construction and infrastructure projects. Experience managing the procurement lifecycle from sourcing through to contract management. Proven project / programme management experience including ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. Possess strong people skills and be an effective communicator, able to influence, challenge and establish yourself as a trusted advisor. Experience in areas such as strategic sourcing, category management and contract management. Desirable but not required: Already achieved, or willing to work towards, MCIPS or MRICS accreditation Awareness of procuring under public sector regulations, including but not limited to the Procurement Act 2023 or equivalent. Awareness of a range of standard form contracts, including NEC, JCT, FIDIC.
